Prometheus sequel hires new writer
David Green signs on to pen the script
The sequel to sci-fi actioner, Prometheus , looks to be moving steadily forward, with Fox having hired a new writer to work on the project.
Variety reports that the studio has hired Michael Green to produce a script, having previously worked with Ridley Scott on a treatment for a potential Blade Runner reboot.
An untitled Ridley Scott project was among the list of titles recently confirmed by Fox, with that film set to arrive in US cinemas on 4 March 2016.
There has initially been speculation that that film would indeed be the sequel to Prometheus , with The Wrap reporting that as fact this morning. However, Variety is adamant that the project remains undated.
All will presumably become clear in the coming weeks, with Fox still to confirm whether or not Scott will be directing, or simply producing through his Scott Free banner.
