Prototype 2 teaser honors Penny Arcade by kicking a helicopter out of the sky
Brief trailer promises more absurd sandbox destruction
We don't know much about Prototype 2, except that it exists, and that it'll focus on James Heller, a military man bent on revenge against Alex Mercer (the first game's protagonist) with the belief that Mercer is responsible for the death of his family. Now we know slightly more - namely that Penny Arcade's 2009 observation regarding karate kicking helicopters has been taken to heart:
Prototype 2 has been announced for 360, PS3, and PC, and is due out in 2012. We expect to see plenty more unfortunate helicopter pilots as the game is promoted over the next year - presumably at E3 and the like. First up is an exclusive preview in the April issue of EGM.
