The cheapest PlayStation Plus deals and membership prices in March 2025

The best PS Plus deals for 2020

Saving money on games through PS Plus is easily done if you're a PlayStation Plus member. However, finding the cheapest PlayStation Plus deals on the membership itself is a whole different story. Ever since Sony dropped that new tiered system, retailers have been unable to sell their own cards for specific programs. That means we're left to use the PS Store for new discounts - or PS wallet top-up cards.

The days of discounted PS Plus subcodes and cards are long gone, and even PS Plus is nowhere to be seen within the best PS5 bundle deals these days. Now we have a PS Store wallet-first system, so with that, it makes sense that PS Credit, wallet top-ups, or whatever you want to call them are your best bet. Sony will occasionally drop savings on its PS Plus tiers during special holidays, and big sales events. but these don't last long - and can be hard to hunt for if you don't know where to look.

To help you save what you can with PS Plus, we're keeping this topped up with the latest discounts on PS Store credit, PS Plus tiers, and any remaining deals we can find on PlayStation Plus subscription cards (of all lengths). And we'll even keep you in the know of the latest PS Plus games, too.

Today's best PlayStation Plus deals

PlayStation Store gift cards can also be used to pick up PS Plus. So if you don't have any luck with finding good savings on subscriptions like the current deal above, they could be the way to go.

PlayStation Plus tiers explained

The PS Plus subscription service looks entirely different to how it did just a couple of years ago. Rolling together PS Plus with PS Now, the new service takes on a more rounded look and offers more in each of the three new tiers: PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium.

The Essential level will represent no change from the previous PS Plus subscription, but the Extra, and Premium tiers offer more and offer new features from streaming older games to getting free trials, and access to other catalogs of games. To give you some immediate insight into the new system before shopping for your next PlayStation Plus deal, check out this handy table that outlines the key differences.

PS Plus Deals FAQ

Can you get PlayStation Plus cheap?

It can be a bit harder than ever to get a really cheap PS Plus subscription or to save money with PS Plus card retailers. In fact, said cards for subscriptions seem to have disappeared almost entirely and there is a shift to wallet top-ups to then pay for your chosen tier rather than paying for it directly.

This means the best way to get PlayStation Plus cheap is to decide which tier is best for you and then, if your budget allows, go for a longer-term subscription. The 12-month subs of any tier will always offer you better bang for buck value.

Is PS Plus Premium worth it?

Whether being a fully fledged PS Premium member is worth the price tag that comes with it, depends on what you want to play on your PS5. If you want to ensure you have access to everything PS Plus can offer - including the free monthly games, cloud streaming, games catalog, cloud streaming, the Ubisoft+ classics games, tips feature, exclusive discounts, and the classics and general PlayStation games catalog, then having a Premium membership is a must.

However, anyone okay with missing out on access to old-school classic PlayStation games of the classics catalog, game trials, and cloud streaming can stick with a PS Plus Extra subscription instead.

Does PlayStation Plus give you discounts?

If you're a member of any PlayStation Plus tier, you'll get access to exclusive discounts on digital purchases as one of your subscription benefits. This could mean extra cash off games on the PlayStation digital storefront, and even free to add extras to online games like Fortnite and Marvel Rivals.

If any digital game has an additional saving for PS Plus Premium members, you will see the PS Plus logo on the game's store page, along with a percentage of what saving you can make due to your PS Plus subscription. (Just be sure to double check any digital game you want to buy isn't already part of the PS Plus game catalog!)

Rosalie Newcombe
Hardware Editor

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
