God of War II
What's it all about?
You've all been eagerly waiting for this one and come this March, it'll finally be ready to rock your PS2. Kratos makes his triumphant return as the new God of War, having dethroned his former master Ares in the previous game. As it turns out, however, he is far more a bloodthirsty tyrant than Ares ever was and the others in the pantheon are none too pleased about this. As Kratos joins his forces in battle, he finds himself suddenly stripped of his powers by another god. Reduced to the abilities of a mere mortal, Kratos must now face the wrath of his former peers...
What's the big deal?
God of War's intense action, well-developed setting and tough-as-nails difficulty blew away all expectations and earned it many accolades. God of War II promises more of everything that made the original such an amazing experience. Kratos might have lost his god-status, but in-game he's got a plethora of new skills to make use of, as well as many brutal new moves to decimate his opponents. And his opponents... all we can say is "whoa." Some of the new boss fights we've seen so far are simply mesmerizing. Suffice to say, we're squirming in our seats waiting for this.
How does it stack up?
