PS3: You love it
Gamers offer surprising feedback on PlayStation 3
Still unsure about wheather to splash your hard earned cash on the latest next-gen machine? Maybe these comments can sway you…
ord1000 “ After playing about with the console and games such as Motostorm, VF5, RFOM, GranTurismo HD, Tekken: Dark Resurrection and the Ridge Racer 7 demo over the weekend; I personally would give my PS3 experience a 9/10.
Fab console and some top games. No regrets from me so far.”
TigaSefi “Weren't impressed by my cousin's PS3 on a 50" Plasma 1080p screen. I mean the graphics were good but the games he had were bit meh. Definitely not £425 worth though.”
DeadFishUK “I believe it has a huge potential.
8/10 for now and 10/10 end of this year.”
SillySprout "I voted 9/10. PS3 is expensive, but it really does feel like a high tech peice of kit. I love the simplicity of the cross media bar menus, and it's a great feature full machine. I had high expectations for the machine, and it's exceeded them."
Satriales "I gave it a 10/10, but then realised I should have given it 9/10
As far as I can see the main problem with the PS3 is it's price, if it was more affordable (and in time it will be) then there wouldn't have been half as much bad press. The hardware itself is incredible and anyone who bought one will know that the PS3 is going to impress for a long time to come.”

Kiran"I'm giving this baby a whopping great 9. Its had a lot of negative press, but its come through it all. For the first time in years I've actually made time to play games.”
something fishy “You do need to have a good mess around with it, download loads of stuff, try out the features and, most importantly, play loads of Motorstorm, to be properly impressed.
I also don't think it's really quite up to the price yet but i am happy with what it does.”
Suzzopher “my brother came round yesterday after not being impressed with Resistance in November was blown away by Motorstorm and Virtua Fighter 5 and has decided the Wii will be sold on ebay to fund his future purchase.”
Nik35"Right now I vote under 5 for underwhelmed.
I'd rather Sony released this high tech monster with a suite of games and other features that you could get stuck into."
Tiarny “The entire thing is very impressive and if people keep playing Resistance then I can see myself being happy for a very long time.”
Prototype"I give it 9/10.
Whereas when I got my Xbox I would have said 10/10.
I still think PS3 is going to outshine the 360 in the long run though.”
Steve “The PS3 has real potential and I am damn sure I will have had £425 worth of fun out of it in 4/5 years time.
I would recommend that people wait before buying unless you're really flush with money.”
Overall then a positive reception and one that Sony should be very pleased about. Will this positve attitude stick or will cracks start to show after the initial excitement has died down? Only time will tell.

Hi I'm James or JJ if you like, I'll answer to both. I'm the Executive producer for GR video which means I've had at least a part in all the hot moving pictures you'll find on the site (even if that part was just saying, yes that's a good video). I also produce the Future Games Show and Golden Joystick Awards. Away from the office you'll either find me playing Fortnite, or walking my dog. I'm better at one than the other, I'll let you decide which.
