Let's be brutally honest. Race Driver: Create & Race isn't the best looking of the Race Driver franchise. That's not to say it isn't a phenomenal effort for the DS - it kind of looks likes other formats, but only if you squinted and looked at the screen with your head inside your t-shirt. Plus, the handling has been simplified to the point where driving a Renault Clio and STRANA Supertrack feels much the same. It makes what was a simulator with arcade leanings a totally arcade experience.
But put this to the back of your mind and you'll find something that makes Create & Race fantastic - the track creator. Unique to the DS and ideal for its capabilities, you can make some devilish and sprawling circuits that you can then challenge three mates to race you against via Wi-Fi or head-to-head with card sharing.
