Ratchet & Clank demo soon
Oh, and the full game's release has been delayed... slightly
Sept 28, 2007
An "updated and optimised" version of the Ratchet& Clank Future: Tools of Destruction E3 demo will be made available for download via the PlayStation Network within the next two weeks, Sony has confirmed.
Greg Phillips, line producer of SCEA revealed that the demo "should be available via PSN in North America by October 11."
A Sony UK correspondent has toldus it expects the demo to hit the UK PSN around "mid-October" (although if you're smart you'll already have a US account on your PS3 for a sneaky import download).
The demo will be set in the "signature level" of the Ratchet& Clank series, Metropolis. Although he goes on to say: "Well, it was the signature level... before we blew it to bits in this demo." Sounds like fun.
While confirming that the final game has gone gold, he also noted that it'll now hit stores on October 30 - a week later than the originally planned October 23 launch.
Meanwhile, you can download a new trailer directly onto your PS3 now, or check out a lower-res version on the official site.
