Ratner ready to Rush again
X-Men 3 helmer hoovers up Chan and Tucker for Rush Hour 3
Fresh from putting his fingerprints all over the X-Men franchise, Brett Ratner has signed up to helm Rush Hour 3.
New Line Cinema has given the green light to Ratner and his team to get production underway, with deals to bring the franchise stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker already sewn up.
The action will switch to Paris for the third instalment and see the mismatched cops taking on the triads in the French capital.
“We are thrilled to team up with Chris, Jackie and Brett again to bring another installment of this entertaining franchise to life,” New Line Production President Toby Emmerich announced. “The first two Rush Hour films have become pop culture classics, and we are confident that the third one will deliver the trademark mix of great action and big laughs that made the previous films so successful.”
Rush Hour 2 scribbler Jeff Nathanson has been drafted in to pen the script.
