Rayman Legends delayed, coming to PS3 and Xbox 360
Former Wii U exclusive pushed back from launch, then first quarter 2013
Former Wii-U-exclusive platformer Rayman Legends is now coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but Ubisoft's pushed the platformer back once more to get it ready. The follow-up to Rayman Origins will launch in September, Ubisoft announced today, further delayed from its Wii-U-launch-turned-first-quarter 2013 date.
Ubisoft Montpellier, the same studio which created Rayman Legends, will develop the game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The publisher said it's responding to calls from fans on both consoles for an expanded release.
Only 4 percent of Ubisoft's sales came from Wii U last quarter, despite releasing seven games for the system within weeks of its launch. We wouldn't be surprised if the modest figures also contributed to the Ubisoft's decision to hedge its bet.
