There are but a few scant months between now and the February 16 release date for Street Fighter 5, so if you want to enter the ring with Capcom's upcoming fighter, I'd suggest using that time to prepare. But where do you start, especially if Street Fighter 5 is your entry point for the series? Lucky for us - hey, I haven't played since the Genesis days - pro gamer Darryl "Snake Eyez" Lewis was on-hand this week for a GamesRadar+ livestream where he lays out three vital tips for newcomers: landing combos, control of spacing, and awareness of frame data.
Don't worry, it sounds more intimidating than it is.
Of course, if you want to be a cheater cheater Hadouken-eater, you could always just play dirty. Not that Lewis would approve of such antics, but his stories of what other players have done - including having your sparring partner snitch on you and mashing buttons that don't do anything to psych out anyone looking at your controller - might give you some ideas, if you're so inclined.
