Rebecca De Mornay joins Mother's Day

She's still best known as a psycho in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, Rebecca De Mornay is playing another monster for Mother's Day.

Darren Lyn Bousman is spearheading the remake of the 1980s horror pic (below), which finds a sadistic mother and her brood of villains returning to their former family home to terrorise the new inhabitants.

So it looks like she'll be doing what she does best - intimidating people. De Mornay joins a cast that already includes Alexa Vega, Jaime King, Shawn Ashmore and Deborah Ann Woll.

With a script by Scott Milam, the film kicks off shooting next week in Canada, with an eye on a late April release across the pond to put it just before Mother's Day over there.

Wonder if we'll see it in March? Doubt it...

Glad to see her in another psycho thriller role? Tell us! Or we'll boil a puppy! Sorry... got carried away with the crazy there.
