Relax, Justice League won't feature Jared Leto's Joker
Rumors swirled up good n' proper yesterday about Jared Leto's Joker making an appearance in Justice League. An Icelandic tourism site (stay with me) revealed that production on Zack Snyder's movie is set to relocate there later this year - and the page lists Jared Leto's Joker as part of the ensemble. Whether that news excited you or caused a surge of dread in your stomach, it doesn't matter now as the whole thing's been debunked.
That's right. Leto's divisive Clown Prince of Crime won't have a cameo according to The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez:
Sorry DC fanboys. Yesterday's rumor that surfaced about Jared Leto being in JUSTICE LEAGUE? Unfortunately, not true. #DEADEDSeptember 13, 2016
If Warner originally planned to include him, then realised that BvS was way too overstuffed, then this might be part of their retweaking. Or it could be that he just wasn't ever a part of it and the Icelanders threw his name in for fun. Either way, he still might crop up in the movie if his cameo is being kept super quiet. But after being made a supporting character in Suicide Squad - and not the major baddie promised in marketing - does Justice League really need any more secondary villains?
