RESFEST set to land in UK!
Globe-skipping film festival set to bring bulging movie package to our shores
Packed with premieres and sizzling with special screenings, the RESFEST arrives in the UK this week, touching down in Bristol on Wednesday 25 October, before finding its way to the capital next month.
Kicking off in Chicago in mid-October and set to take in 41 cities over 6 continents, this really is a movie behemoth and the organisers pride themselves on bringing the newest, sharpest indie fare to the public.
The Watershed in Bristol will host festivities from 25 to 29 October, with movies from 6 countries on show. The curtain raiser will be The Blackheart Gang’s sumptuously operatic visual delight The Tale Of How and the event will also include three thrill-packed world premieres - Johan Kramer’s 0.08, Stefan Nadelman’s Food Fight and Richard Fenwick’s The Box.
Last week, those lovely people at RESFEST announced another three first-looks for the London leg of the festival – which takes places at the NFT from the 14 to 19 November. The pick of the bunch is Special. It tells the tale of Les (Michael Rapaport), a fella who takes part in a drugs trial and becomes convinced the anti-depressant he’s popping is turning him into a superhero.
