Resident Evil 5 - 2008 or later
Latest Capcom financial report indicates Resident Evil 5 won't be out until at least the middle of next year
Capcom's latest financial report has revealed that Resident Evil 5 won't be hitting the shops until at least the middle of next year.
The 360 and PS3 RE installment was absent from Capcom's financial year lineup, meaning it won't be ready for release before April 2008. And that's at the earliest.
Instead, fans will have to get their zombie fix from Wii offerings Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and the remixed Resident Evil 4.
The news won't come as much of a surprise to fans, as producer Jun Takeuchi told Famitsulast yearnot to expect the fifth game until 2008.
Apparently Capcom will be relying on sales of Devil May Cry 4, the above mentioned REs and Mega Man cartoon tie-ins to provide this year's dough, which is fair enough.
We contacted Capcom's op which is currently chasing up Japan for clarification on the report. We'll let you know if it has anything exciting to tell us.
