The first film wasn't wonderful, we know. The second one... the less said about that the better. Could the third and final part of the Resident Evil trilogy finally deliver? Well, trailers seldom paint an accurate picture of what a film's really going to be like, but the newly-released trailer for Resident Evil Extinction is already getting fans excited.
The sequel picks up where Resident Evil Apocalypse left off. Milla Jovovich's character Alice is now hiding out in the barren wasteland of what used to be Las Vegas, where she teams up with a band of other survivors (including Claire Redfield, played by Ali Larter, although whether she's brought any of the videogame character's backstory with her remains to be seen). Together they try to take down the Umbrella Corporation and eliminate the virus that's sweeping the country.
Resident Evil Extinction is due for release on 21 September this year. Yahoo! Movies have the trailer: check it out by clicking here .
