Resistance 3 'Director's Cut' trailer ups the fear factor
A little extra goes a long way in Insomniac's extended live-action trailer
Insomniac's live-action trailer for Resistance 3 was certainly one of the highlights of Spike's VGA awards broadcast, but according to the studio it was about 30 seconds shy of its original vision. Now, thanks to raw power of the interwebs, Insomniac has released the its Resistance 3 Director's Cut trailer featuring one shocking scene you didn't see on TV.
The extended trailer waspostedto theEuropean PlayStation Blogby Insomniac's Senior Community Manager, James Stevenson. In the post, Stevenson assured viewers that the both the original live-action footage and the extra bits are representative of the actual game, saying: %26ldquo;This restored Director%26rsquo;s Cut features a lot of the extra live-action that Prologue shot %26ndash; including a dark warehouse scene at the beginning. Each of the live action moments does represent a section of the game, despite the only gameplay footage occurring during the boat.%26rdquo;
According to Stevenson, Insomniac will unwrap more of Resistance 3's secrets in a %26ldquo;special episode%26rdquo; of its podcast, the Full Moon Show, set to be posted on the European PlayStation Blog on December 29th.
Resistance 3 is scheduled for a September 2011 release.
