Ridge Racer 2 looks sweet
[PSP] First shots of PSP sequel, plus UK release confirmed
Wednesday 5 July 2006
As we revealed earlier this week, a sequel to Namco's sideways-shifting Ridge Racer is on its way to PSP. And now, not only has Sony confirmed that Ridge Racer 2 will be out in the UK by the end of the year, but it has also sped over a tasty selection of shots from the game.
Under the bonnet of the latest version of the beautiful looking mover will be new cars, new racing modes and almost twice as many tracks as its predecessor. Up to eight players will be able to compete in nitrous-fuelled, WiFi racing and, in addition, some 'great new features' are also promised.
Namco is boasting that, compared to the PSP original, Ridge Racer 2 will hit gamers with around three times as much play time. Sounds like a decent deal to us. For now, though, rev through the images below for an early gander.
