Ridge Racer's heaven
Namco makes Ridge 7 PS3's first launch title
Friday 21 April 2006
Namco has now officially confirmed that Ridge Racer 7 will be a launch title for PS3, meaning it'll be touching down with the console this November.
It's not clear whether that's a global launch for RR7 to go with PS3's worldwide release, however, or if it's just for Japan. If we had to bet, our money would go on the latter.
What we do know is that the game is set in 2010 - which is as good an excuse as any to make everything look beautifully shiny and cram stages with enough neon to blind the sun - and there will be around 200 vehicles.
It'll also be exclusive to PS3, and Namco is aiming to allow at least 16 players to race against one another online. Stick with us for E3, where Namco will doubtlessly produce some handsome screenshots for you all to coo over.
