Rob Corddry is W's Ari Fleischer
The former Daily Show staffer will be the President’s spokesbod…
He may be better known for reporting the news – or at least spoofing it on The Daily Show, but Rob Corddry is switching tracks to play a real-life newsmaker for Oliver Stone.
He’s signed on the role of Ari Fleischer, the man who was the White House press secretary for two years under President Bush. For those who can’t picture either of them, we’ve helpfully included a picture comparison below. He’s joining the likes of Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, James Cromwell and our own Ioan Gruffudd.
Total Film has just spent a hilarious afternoon talking to Corddry (though he mentioned nothing about this thanks to contract issues, the git) and you’ll be able to read plenty from him when Harold & Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay arrives in our cinemas.
