Rob Reiner directing Book Of Shadows
He's making a new action-adventure
Rob Reiner’s company Castle Rock has picked up action adventure script pitch Book Of Shadows for its boss to direct.
Penned by writer Zoe Green based on an idea by Reiner (so it’s not tough to see why he snapped it up), Book Of Shadows has nothing to do with the awful Blair Witch sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
Instead, it’ll find a young man battling both hormones as he embarks on his first love and a world-threatening problem with the titular tone, which must be closed or we all perish. No pressure, then.
Whiskey River
Shadows will shuffle into Reiner’s development schedule, which already boasts Whiskey River, the story of a man which kidnaps his soldier son to stop him from having to return to duty in Iraq.
We really hope Reiner can bring something new to the Shadows story, which sounds distinctly like the sort of adventure guff we’ve seen far too many times before.
