Has officially lost Gravity
Robert Downey Jr. has officially departed Alfonso Cuarón’s long-gestating sci-fi Gravity .
The ambitious but troubled movie, which has bagged Sandra Bullock for its female lead after Angelina Jolie dropped out, will be moving ahead without Downey Jr.
The actor's busy schedule is being blamed, with both Sherlock Holmes 2 and The Avengers on the horizon - but that’s not stopping other studios from attempting to lure the actor in to other roles.
20th Century Fox are currently prepping How To Talk To Girls , which is being described as a Big -style comedy about a nine-year-old boy who attempts to unravel the mysteries of the opposite sex.
Given that a script hasn’t been written yet (nay, a writer hasn’t even been hired), this could be a possible for Downey Jr if the shoot comes after his other commitments.
Meanwhile, the search for a Downey replacement on Gravity begins. Poor Alfonso Cuarón...
