RoboCop Xbox Live Avatar clothes coming dead or alive August 25
Serve the public trust and protect the innocent with new robo-duds and accessories
The Nuke-ridden streets of Xbox Live are set to receive some swift half-man-half-machine justice with the arrival RoboCop avatar gear on August 25. Actually, we doubt the new suits or ED-209 pets shown in this announcement video will actually serve any functional use, but at the very least they will make you the most feared avatar on the block...or maybe not. How about respected? No? Damnit, can't we just agree this looks cool?!
The trailer was made by Giant Bomb member MoleyUK as part of a RoboCop avatar collection promotion. Feel free to drop him words of encouragement, and or job contacts with Microsoft, here.
The RoboCop Avatar Collection has yet to be listed on Microsoft's site, so we likely won't know the price of the suits, graphic t-shirts and/or robotic underlings until they drop this Thursday. Also, unless we missed the announcement at Gamescom, this collection is being released independent of any upcoming RoboCop game or reboot. Non-sponsored avatar gear with no commercial agenda? That doesn't seem like Microsoft's MO, but we bet the OCP are behind it somehow.
