Rock Band DLC ending in April

After 4,000 songs released over 275 weeks straight, Harmonix will pull the plug on Rock Band DLC. The massive release schedule, which fed into every mainstream Rock Band release, will culminate on April 2.

The last few weeks of content will include some remaining tracks from Rock Band Blitz, pro guitar upgrades, and even some artists new to the series, Harmonix said in a post on its forums. Fret not, the developer has "an appropriate track for the final release on April 2."

Xbox 360 players will continue to received community-generated content from Rock Band Network, which Harmonix has no plans to shut down. Unfortunately, other platforms only get a selection of the Network songs via the regular DLC system, so no more custom tracks for PlayStation 3 or Wii.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
