Rocket League Hoops is coming in April with the Dunk House
The NBA playoffs begin on April 16, but with no rocket-powered flying cars and exploding balls to speak of, it may be at a distinct disadvantage to Rocket League Hoops. Developer Psyonix confirmed on Twitter that its car-soccer game will hit the hardwood next month, leaving Steph Curry and company just enough time to drop this dead-end basketball thing and start pursuing more respectable esports careers in Rocket League.

Seriously though, if your aerial game isn't already locked down, you're going to want to hit the training mode hard. Those quick little dodge-rolls into the corner of the net aren't gonna cut it with an extra-bouncy ball and a protective rim around the goal zone. Hopefully Psyonix patches in a floppy "Michael Jordan Tongue" antenna piece.
With hockey mode still a fan favorite, I'm starting to wonder if there's any ball sport that a Rocket League makeover can't improve. Maybe squash. That little room would get pretty crowded with two cars and a huge, glowing ball.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
