Red Dead/Midnight Club studio gearing up for new project
Rockstar San Diego has placed advertisements for several positions on its team, specifically requesting skills suiting “the wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game.” Posted on Gamasutra (via Game Informer), the adverts seek artists and programmers of various stripes, and point strongly to a new open-world title being prepped within the studio.

The listings, all posted within the last few weeks, call for professionals with PS3 and Xbox 360 experience and “the skill to get the most from next-gen consoles.” The company's open-world credentials (R* San Diego, in particular, is responsible for the Midnight Club, Red Dead and Smuggler's Run IPs) are touted strongly: if these listings indeed point to a new San Diego title, it's likely to be one of those ones you'll need a decent map and a few days off work to get your head around...
