Rockstar spills the beans on L.A Noire DLC and Rockstar Pass

Prepare to spend more time reading faces and poking corpses this summer. Rockstar and Team Bondi have released a rundown of their L.A. Noire DLC plans for the next couple of months, and it looks like detective Cole Phelps won't be catching a break anytime soon.

The overtime begins today with the arrival of two new chapters, The Naked City Vice case and A Slip of the Tongue Traffic case; both of which are availabletodownload for $4 (PSN) or 320 Microsoft Points (Xbox Live). Also on offer are The Badge Pursuit Challenge for $2/160 MPs, and the Sharpshooter and Broderick detective suits for $1/80 MPs.

In addition to today's content, Rockstar announced the arrival of the Nicholson Electroplating Arson case on June 21st, and the Reefer Madness Vice case on July 12th. The two new outings will be priced at $4/320 MPs apiece, and are said to be “inspired both by famous noir fiction and real-life crimes taken straight from the headlines".

As an incentive to sign on early for the seven DLC packs (and to make buying DLC that much classier), Rockstar has also started selling the oh-so-cool-sounding 'Rockstar Pass' which grants gumshoes access to all ofthe announced DLC via an exclusive online L.A. Noire portal for $10/800 MPs. Once this initial promotion is over, the Rockstar Pass will still be available, but for the normal price of $12/900 MPs.

Last but not least, there's also incentives to be had for Rockstar Social Club members. As a “token to fans” the publisher is giving away free Chicago Lightening Detective suits and unlocking Chicago Piano machine gun.

Four new cases, a whack of weapons and fancy suits for ten bucks? And free social club swag? That's a chunk of content for a game that's only been on the streets for two weeks. Question is, will it be enough to keep you on duty?
