Roman Polanski's Carnage trailer unleashed online
Prepare for a thesping showdown
If you like you actors to damned well act their faces off, then here's some good news for you: the trailer for Roman Polanski's Carnage has arrived.
The director's latest is a four-hander boasting one of the most impressive casts of the year, with Jodie Foster, John C Reilly, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz caught in a showdown after their kids are involved in a playground scuffle.
Thankfully, the trailer plays up the humour before the stinging barbs arrive, so this looks a little more interesting than your average PTA meeting.
Carnage doesn't look to be the most commercial piece of cinema you'll see this year, but if you want to see some fine actors cranking up the cringe in a pressure-cooker setting, it looks like there will be plenty to enjoy here.
If it seems a little stagey, it's worth noting that it is based on Yasmina Reza's play God Of Carnage .

Carnage opens in the US on 16 December 2011. Expect a UK release at some point early next year.
