Rome: Total War - Alexander
Expanded strategy with Macedonian mauler, Alexander the Great
Rome: Total War - Alexander is the latest expansion pack for Creative Assembly and Sega's hit real-time-strategy franchise Total War, and will be available exclusively for download this June.
Alexander will challenge gamers to follow in the footsteps of ancient civilization's greatest general - Alexander the Great - a Macedonian who conquered most of the world known to the Ancient Greeks at the young age of 33, before his untimely death.
The new pack offers up to 30 hours of gameplay thanks to a new campaign map which will chart Alexander and his unification of Greece, and the conquering of the Persian Empire. Brian Blessed (The Phantom Menace ) will narrate cutscenes that will link Alexander's battles and relate his remarkable story to gamers.
Six new factions bring along 60 additional unit types, including the Macedonian Hypaspists, Phalangists, and Companion cavalry that accompany Alexander. There will also be six new battles for LAN and online use, featuring Alexander against Greek, Persian and Indian troops.
