Ron Perlman to play a goblin in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is on quite the recruitment drive! Just days after John Voight, Gemma Chan and Carmen Ejogo joined the Harry Potter spin-off, another big name has been added to its roster, with THR reporting that Hellboy's Ron Perlman has joined the cast.
According to the report, Perlman will play a goblin, but will presumably only be providing the voice, as goblins have traditionally been portrayed as diminutive in stature in the franchise. Unless this is some new strain of goblin, the likes of which we’ve yet to encounter...
Eddie Redmayne will head up the new film as the renowned magizoologist, Newt Scamander, with support coming from Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller and Samantha Morton. Directed by Potter veteran David Yates, with a script from J.K. Rowling herself, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will open in the UK and US on November 18 2016.
