Rosario Dawson joins Daredevil TV show
Could she be Elektra?
Rosario Dawson has agreed to join the cast of Marvel's forthcoming Daredevil series, with the studio confirming she'll be playing a "critical" female role.
The official blurb describes Dawson's character as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life".
Could they be talking about Elektra, perchance? She's the character who immediately springs to mind when talking about significant female roles in the Daredevil universe, although the character has not been referred to by name as yet.
"Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Daredevil ,'” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television.
“Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."
Co-starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, Daredevil will arrive on Netflix some time in 2015.
