Rose McGowan is still Barbarella!
Despite rumblings to the contrary…
You might have started to wonder just what was up with Robert Rodriguez’ remake (try saying that five times fast after a few pints) of Barbarella after rumours that budget problems, studio issues and political posturing had forced the film to shut down and for Rodriguez to replace Rose McGowan as its leading lady.
Well, it seems everything has worked out as McGowan went on the record with MTV this weekend, claiming it’s still on. “The news that I was out was really irritating because I know all the people over there and obviously it wasn’t true. It was very malicious and there was no proof,” McGowan told the site. “Oftentimes these things have basis in truth but this didn’t. I have contracts to prove it.”
