Rosemarys Baby remake not happening
Producers admit they couldn’t make it work
The main men behind horror remake producers Platinum Dunes have admitted that their new take on Rosemary’s Baby has been shut down.
Andrew Form and Brad Fuller admitted to Frosty over at Collider that they couldn’t find a way to make the new version work.
“Rosemary’s Baby was announced and it’s like a little bit like we’re taking about with Freddy. We went down that road and we even talked to the best writers in town and it feels like it might not be do-able.
“We couldn’t’ come up with something where it felt like it was relevant and we could add something to it other than what it was so we’re now not going to be doing that film.”
Yes, Baby fans can rest easy – it makes a nice change for a horror remake team to admit defeat.
Near Dark
It’s become something of a recurring theme with the Platinum Dunes lads – first Near Dark, and now this.
But if you were hoping they’d decided to shut down The Birds and A Nightmare On Elm Street, think again… They’re both still on.
