Rumour: Alex Pettyfer and Rachel Hurd-Wood have read for Star Wars: Episode VII
In line to play children of original characters?
Another day, another Star Wars casting rumour, this time focusing upon up-and-coming stars Alex Pettyfer and Rachel Hurd-Wood.
According to Latino Review , the pair have both read for roles in Episode VII , and could potentially play the offspring of some well-loved characters from the original trilogy.
Hurd-Wood is thought to be in the frame to play the daughter of Leia and Han, while Pettyfer be could in line for Luke Skywalker’s son.
That last was thought to have been declined by Ryan Gosling, although given that Pettyfer is a good deal younger, perhaps he is up for a different role.
Nothing concrete as yet though, with speculation still taking precedence over cold hard fact. Directed by J.J. Abrams, the film will arrive in the UK in 2015.
