Rumour Control: Joss Whedon wants to dance?
Serenity’s Summer Glau talks up project…
Joss Whedon’s sci-fi opus Serenity is one of those movies that deserved way more box-office success than it got – if there was any justice in the world, every penny earned by the likes of Epic Movie would immediately be added to its total.
But while most of his fans have come to accept that – constant rumours aside – a Serenity 2 is unlikely for now, there is a chance he’ll be working with cast member Summer Glau again.
Chatting with IESB.net at a junket for her Terminator TV show , Glau revealed that she and Whedon are plotting something both film- and dance-related: “I have always wanted to do a movie about dance which is something that I’m working on right now… Something that Joss Whedon is working on,” the former dancer blabbed. “We’ve kind of had this idea for awhile but we haven’t had much of an opportunity where both of us are available.”
With Whedon busy walking the picket line on the writers’ strike and planning a new TV show post-strike, it’s not as if this will happen right now. But for everyone who knows and loves the Buffy musical, it’s certainly an appealing prospect.
