Rumour has it that the new Call Of Duty is set in space
Well here's some news to banish all those post-Easter blues. This year's Call of Duty is apparently set in space, in the far, far future. We already knew that this year's COD is coming from Ghost devs Infinity Ward but that was it. Now known industry source Shinobi602 has said on Neogaf that the game will be in the “Very far future" with "Space combat" and "Full on sci-fi” which standalone might sound suitably vague but coincides with what Eurogamer has heard from other sources.
Eurogamer reports that the new CoD will focus on space combat between warring factions, so a far cry from Ghosts' now seemingly banal opener set where no one can hear you scream. Predictably, this isn't a direct sequel to Ghosts. We've not even had news of a release date as yet, but November is a pretty safe bet. I'll keep you updated as we know more.
