Rumour: Jack Nicholson to play Robert Downey Jr.'s dad in The Judge?
Charisma alert!
Robert Downey Jr. does occasionally make non-Marvel movies now and then, and he's about to get some A-list company in one such project, with the news that Jack Nicholson is in talks to star opposite him in The Judge .
The film is a dramedy focusing on a hotshot lawyer (Downey) who returns home after the death of his mother, only to discover that his Alzheimer's-suffering father is considered to be one of the suspects.
Using his professional skills to explore the case, Downey finds himself reconnecting with his family, as he attempts to get to the bottom of his mother's death. Sounds as though there will be a few tears shed by the end…
Nicholson is currently in talks to play the dad in question, who also happens to be the judge from whom the film takes its name. Nothing is confirmed as yet, but director David Dobkin will be giving it his all to get Jack on board.
It'll be a change of pace for Dobkin, whose best-known output includes Wedding Crashers and The Change-Up .
Because lets face it, the prospect of Jack Nicholson and Robert Downey Jr. playing father and son really is to good to miss out on! The Judge is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2014.
