Rumour mill: Anchorman 2 on?
You stay classy, San Diego…
As big fans of Anchorman, we’ve long been teased by the possibility that Will Ferrell, director/co-writer Adam McKay and the rest of the top-notch comedy cast might get back together to grace us with a sequel.
Okay, so Anchorman didn’t snatch any box office records and there’s always the danger that a inferior sequel will taint the awesome original, but it’s Anchorman, darn it – you get back to whore island if you don’t want to see another one.
Now, McKay is teasing us further by admitting he and Ferrell are seriously considering the idea once a few other projects are out of the way. Talking to Collider.com , the director blabbed: “We're dying to do it. Unless we can't get the cast together, which is always kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with that cast we're all friends, so yeah, we want to do it.”
