Sony Computer Entertainment America has filed a trademark for “Greatness Awaits,” which is rumoured to be a marketing slogan for PS4. The trademark was uncovered by Siliconera, which claimed last week to have obtained materials detailing an upcoming PS4 TV advert. A description of the latter part of the supposed commercial reads:
We hear a distant roar that sounds unlike any human invention. It is loud and rumbling and begins to throw a shadow over our hero.
GUY: And We Will Not Be Denied.
We pan up to see a giant spacecraft from Killzone fly overhead. And with that our hero passes camera. When the camera turns to follow him – we see an epic, massively chaotic battle scene. Massive aircraft exploding into flame, people firing weapons from behind overturned vehicles. Soccer players dribbling between the madness, giants robots, dragons, smoke, fire, explosions. And our man and his merry gang, jog, then run, then sprint headlong into the fun. The camera charges in behind them to see this magnificent world, before craning up to reveal the massive expanse of this gamer’s paradise.
A super appears.
