Ryan Gosling signs up for Guillermo Del Toros Haunted Mansion
Guillermo del Toro may have found a leading man to head up his adaptation of popular Disneyland ride Haunted Mansion, with The Wrap reporting that Ryan Gosling is in negotiations to star.
The pair were photographed at Disneyland over the Oscar weekend, with both riding the Haunted Mansion together. Now it would appear that that jaunt was part of the casting process, rather than just a nice day out!
Little has been confirmed in the way of plot details, although Del Toro has previously spoken of creating a live-action, 3D film in “a heightened reality, which is super designed and incredibly innovative, narratively and visually”. It is understood that the film would be a straight horror rather than a comedy.
Haunted Mansion has been on the back burner for Del Toro ever since he announced he was adapting the project back in 2010. However, with Gosling’s potential casting, it seems as though the wheels may finally be beginning to turn…
