Ryan Gosling strips down for jail in an exclusive clip from The Place Beyond The Pines: watch now

The Place Beyond The Pines is hitting DVD and Blu-ray soon, and we’ve got hold of an exclusive deleted scene from the film.

Ryan Gosling fans may want to steady themselves, as the clip sees the lusted-after actor forced to strip down to his pants when entering jail. It also sees him cradling a baby, and emoting to the full. Frankly, hearts (and other bodily organs) will explode.

While we can jest about the effect the clip’ll have on Gosling’s rabid fanbase, it’s also as captivating and enthralling as the slowburn thriller is on the whole. Directed by Derek Cianfrance ( Blue Valentine ), the film traces the ripples caused by Gosling’s stunt racer turned smalltime bank robber, Luke Glanton.

Sporting white-blond ‘80s hair and tattoos covering most of his body’s surface, the character has an impact that reverberates through the whole film. If you haven’t seen the film, the clip is vaguely spoilery, although it shouldn’t take too much away from the whole.

Watch the exclusive deleted scene below:

Co-starring Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes and Dane DeHaan, The Place Beyond The Pines is available on digital download now and on Blu-ray and DVD from 12 August 2013.
