Samurai Warriors Wave
Slasher series deploys itself into first-person mode
Actual info on this latest installment of the button-mashing Samurai Warriors series is still pretty scarce, but our crop of new images tells us just enough. Rather than running around ancient Japan in a third-person view, chopping away hordes of enemy soldiers for hours at a time, you'll be running around ancient Japan in a first-person view, chopping away hordes of enemy soldiers for hours at a time.
Will you be able to deflect incoming attacks with the remote like Red Steel? Will there be multiplayer modes to duel against each other? Will your arms be able to withstand the relentless onslaught of angry, unwashed troops? No one knows. Just hit the Images tab and you'll know as much as everyone else.
Right now, publisher KOEI has Samurai Warriors Wave down for a late March release, a date that's still up in the air. Die-hard fans of the series might be able to import it earlier than that, however.
