Black Friday Curved monitor deals are sitting pretty on virtual shelves, and I'm pretty pleased with the panel offers available right now. Not only am I seeing previous record lows on LG, Samsung, and AOC screens smashed, but there's a diverse range of models to suit a wide range of budgets.

As for specific Black Friday gaming monitor deals, I'm particularly excited about the Samsung Odyssey G5 reaching $199.99 at Amazon, as the curved monitor represents great PC gaming value with a 165Hz refresh rate a QHD capabilities. I'm also big into the LG UltraGear going for $189.99, as it takes things a step further with a 180Hz panel.

One thing I believe will be key to Black Friday gaming monitor dealspicking the best gaming monitor up this year is panel type. There's normally a significant price difference between traditional displays and new-fangled OLED screens, particularly when it comes to larger models, so it's well worth staying flexible out there. I've tested plenty of the top screens this year, meaning I can provide all the advice you'll need and direct you towards discounts truly worth considering.

As a rule of thumb, we'd highly suggest using our best curved gaming monitor guide as a template this Black Friday. Not only will our collection of reviews help you separate the the delectable displays and the duds, but it'll also familiarise you with the specs and features to watch out for. That way, you'll start to recognise screens that pop up during the event, weird lengthy model names and all.

As for which screen's we'd suggest watching out for by default, the Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30. It's admittedly a little trick to find online right now, but it'll ideally drop to around the $700 mark. Keep in mind this particular model is rocking a mini LED panel and many of the same features as its larger R45w-30 sibling, so it'd be a nice saving at a chunk under $1,000.

Speaking of curved screens under a grand, the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B is poised to drift further down the price rabbit hole this Black Friday. At Best Buy right now, the 45-inch OLED panel is down to $999.99 from $1,699.99, making it a more viable option for players with reasonable budget constraint. Still price, but we're talking about something larger than many gaming TVs out there with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Other premium models like the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 like to join in the Black Friday fun, and we're hoping we'll see much the same this year. Last time, we managed to catch the 49-inch whopper down at $1,199.99 from $1,799.99 at Amazon, while the older QLED version managed to break through the four digit price barrier at £929.99 (was £1,099.99).

Jumping back down the price scale, we have the AOC CU34G2X. There's some excellent value in this model, packing a larger 34-inch screen than the similarly priced 32-inch Odyssey G5 and offering a slimline bezel design and the same QHD 1144Hz spec sheet. This screen usually comes in at $299.99, but can go on sale for around $249.99. We expect that price to give way a little further in November - the record low is $367 and we're predicting a conservative $349.99 estimate (but hoping for something a little more drastic, say $299.99 on a good day).

There are super cheap options out there if you're not looking for punchy specs, as curved monitors have been around for a little while. The 23.8-inch Acer Nitro UM.QX1AA.S01is a prime example of a display that doesn't skimp on specs, and it normally drops to just over $100. At the moment, it's down to $109.99 from $179.99 at Amazon, but with a bit of Black Friday magic, it'll hopefully drop to a double digit price tag.

Is a curved monitor worth the extra money?

Curved monitors may look a bit strange, but their bendy nature comes with increased immersion and eye health benefits. Playing games like Starfield with a curved view helps envelop your line of sight, which in turn tricks your brain into forgetting there's a display in front of you. Using a bendy panel can also reduce fatigue, as less eye movement is required to see the entire screen.

What is the best curved monitor on the market?

Our favorite curved monitor right now is the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE, a whopping 45-inch OLED panel that packs an immersive punch. It's pretty pricey, but there's a chance you'll be able to bag one, or a similar model, for less during Black Friday 2023.

What are the disadvantages of a curved monitor?

Curved monitor caveats are largely tired to their design, as you'll need to sit straight on at a desk to benefit from the tech. Otherwise, you could experience poor viewing angles if playing from a far, and glare can also be an issue if you're playing next to a bright window. Naturally, that means we wouldn't recommend picking up one for your living room, even though some models are almost as big as TVs.

What to expect from Black Friday curved monitor deals

It's always tough trying to pinpoint precise specifics that will occur during Black Friday curved monitor deals. Monitor prices generally are in flux too - they are just a section of gaming tech where prices rarely stay the same for a long period of time.

However, we can find the best value by taking a look at some of our favorite curved monitors and tracking their prices across last year's sales and in the months since then. There are a handful of screens we'd recommend keeping an eye out for in this year's Black Friday curved monitor deals; the Samsung Odyssey G5 (an affordable QHD screen), the Samsung Odyssey G7 (our top pick overall), the AOC CU34G2X (excellent value for money), the Alienware AW3423DW (our favorite premium screen), and the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (for those who need plenty of space).

Kicking off with Samsung Black Friday deals, the most popular pick is likely going to be the G5 this year. The $379.99 display dropped down to $248 in last year's Black Friday curved monitor deals. That means we'd expect such a price to return for November, if it's not beaten before then. The G7 is a marked step up, starting life at $699.9 for a 27-incher. We first saw the current record low $499.99 sales price on this model back in November 2021, that cost only popped back again a couple of times in 2022. That means we're likely looking at this range for November's offers.

The Neo G9 is a serious leap in pricing. The 49-inch ultrawide curved monitor sits at $2,299.99 when caught at MSRP, and only dropped to $1,689 in 2021's sales. Since then we have seen costs drip down to $1,599.99 over the summer - a position we haven't seen since August. That means this is likely where the chips will fall in November - if we're lucky we could see an additional $50 - $100 off.

Samsung's Odyssey monitors have been around for a little while, but Alienware's AW3423DW is brand new to this year's Black Friday curved monitor deals. The 34-inch panel was launched back in May at a $1,299.99 MSRP, a cost that's only dipped by around $15 in all these months. This is an excellent display, though, so we're holding out for some more substantial savings at Dell this year - potentially down to $999 if previous releases track correctly.

Jumping back down the price scale, we have the AOC CU34G2X. There's some excellent value in this model, packing a larger 34-inch screen than the similarly priced 32-inch Odyssey G5 and offering a slimline bezel design and the same QHD 1144Hz spec sheet. This screen usually comes in at $399.99, but it's generally been on sale for around $379.99 over the last few weeks. We expect that price to give way a little further in November - the record low is $367 and we're predicting a conservative $349.99 estimate (but hoping for something a little more drastic, say $299.99 on a good day).

If you're a little more discerning with your screen specs, we're also rounding up everything we expect to see from Black Friday 4K monitor deals, Black Friday 144Hz monitor deals, and Black Friday 1440p monitor deals as well.
