Last week Joss Whedon dropped his tastiest Avengers 2 morsel to date by revealing that there would be a brother-sister duo amongst the film’s new roster of characters.
That swiftly set tongues wagging online, with the general consensus being that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch were the only two characters to whom Whedon could be referring.
The question was put to Kevin Feige by Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview, and while the Marvel head honcho attempted to play with a straight bat, his comments were interesting to say the least.
“I’m not confirming or denying,” said Feige, before seeming to show too much of his hand by continuing, “The draft could change six months from now.”
Does that mean that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have been written into the first draft? When taken in tandem with Whedon’s earlier comments, it certainly sounds that way...
Directed by Whedon and co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans et al, The Avengers 2 will open in the UK on 1 May 2015.
