First this week there’s some magic in the air. Amazon has the Harry Potter “Ultimate Edition” releases in their “Bargains of the Week” feature. The “Ultimate Editions” include both a Blu-ray and DVD version of the film plus bags of special features. You can pick up ”The Philosopher’s Stone” , ”The Chamber of Secrets” , ”The Prisoner of Azkaban” , ”The Goblet of Fire” , ”The Order of the Phoenix” or ”The Half Blood Prince” in this format and all of them are available for £12.97 each.
Next we have aliens in LA with the Alien Nation complete TV series box-set on DVD for £10.97 . You can also pick up the original movie staring James Caan and Mandy Patinkin on DVD for £4.88
Staying with TV we have the late ’60s animated Fantastic Voyage which is on DVD for just £6.97 . Also in the animated selection we have a Captain America cartoon series on DVD , which is going for £6.87 .
Last week saw the last ever episode of A Town Called Eureka on our TV screens. If you’ve missed the whole series why not have a see what you’ve been missing…Season one of this crazy show is on DVD from Amazon for just £7.99 .
Over on Zavvi we spotted the complete Babylon 5 (including “The Lost Tales”) box-set on DVD for £38.95 .
Last week we brought you seasons one and two of the horror anthology show Tales From The Darkside , and this week we have season three on DVD for £10.97 .

Staying with horror we have a few Stephen King TV adaptations for you next. We found crazy clown antics with Pennywise in It , which can be yours on DVD for just £3.95 and the David Soul-starring vampire thriller Salem’s Lot , which is on DVD for £4.53 . Finally from Mr King we have a killer virus and a battle between good and evil in The Stand which is also on DVD , this one will cost you £4.99 .
Not wanting fans of werewolves to feel left out we have the Universal 100th Anniversary Edition An American Werewolf In London steelbook. This Play.com exclusive is available on Blu-ray for £9.99 .
Finally for the horror selection this week we have Kathryn Bigelow’s vampire flick Near Dark , which can be yours on Blu-ray for £6.79 .
To the shops now… In our regular wander round the supermarkets this week we took in Morrison’s and Asda.
In Morrison’s we found a whole load of DVD going for £5 each. We spotted Kick Ass, 300, Tucker and Dale versus Evil, Superman Returns, Clash of the Titans, Source Code, Green Hornet and The Matrix .
Over in Asda we found Inception and Skyline on DVD for £5 each. A Zathura/Jumanji two pack DVD for £7 , Fringe season one on DVD for £10 , The Vampire Diaries season one also for £10 and the first three Twilight films for £3 each. There‘s also the newly-released Mirror, Mirror on DVD for £10 and on Blu-ray for £15 . Asda also has a “Two Blu-rays for £12 ” offer on in store, not all the titles in the offer are sci-fi but it’s definitely worth checking out.
From the forum this week Midnighter informed us that the BAFTA winning – but still cancelled – TV show, The Fades has dropped down in price to just £6.97 on DVD and £7.97 for the Blu-ray . Midnighter also told us that the Batman: The Brave And The Bold cartoons, which have been on sale in Morrison’s for the last few weeks, have now dropped down to just £2 each.
We’re starting this week’s random selection off with a familiar bargains item. The Doctor Who Character Building Dalek Factory play set is available from Firebox for £10.80 . Asda had the same set in store of £14 .
Our next item is perfect for the Star Wars fan who hates to hear the alarm go off in the morning. This Off The Wall Alarm Clock , which is in the shape of Luke’s training remote from “A New Hope“, is perfect for taking out grumpy mornings moods on as you throw it, hit it or drop it on the floor to get it to shut up. It can be yours for £14.99 . If you’re looking for a more traditional clock how about this C3PO themed clock which is also going for £14.99 .
At the Forbidden Planets online shop they had a few Watchmen film books on sale. You can pick up the Movie Companion book for £5.99 or the Page-To-Screen art book for £4.99 .
Finally for this week we have another of those ever popular novelty ice cube trays. This week it’s Pac-Man , the tray can be yours for £4.99 .
