Sci-Fi Bargains Of The Week
There’s a distinctly Halloween feel to the bargains on offer this week, tracked down, as ever, by Steven Ellis
In the third millennium, the world changed. Climate, nations, DVD and Blu-ray prices, all were in upheaval. The Earth transformed into a poisonous, scorched desert, known as "The Cursed Earth". People crowded into a few Megacities, where roving bands of street savages created violence the justice system could not control. Law, as we know it, collapsed. From the decay rose a new order, a society ruled by a new, elite force. They were the police, jury and executioner all in one. They were the Judges. But we were okay because we had the SFX Friday bargains round-up…
First off this week we found a pile of horror movie box-sets on Amazon, starting of with a set which included the original 1958 The Fly film, along with its two sequels Return Of The Fly and Curse Of The Fly . The set also contained the David Cronenberg 1986 effort and its sequel. The box is on DVD for just £9.50 .
Fans of spooky-looking children need look no further than the The Omen trilogy box-set featuring The Omen, Damien: Omen 2 and Omen: The Final Conflict , all on DVD for £8 . The ”Pentology” DVD box-set adds The Awakening and the 2006 remake of the original to the mix for £2.75 more.

With over 600 titles in the offer they may have what you’re after. Badhat_h was also talking about an HMV offer this week. He brought news of a three for £20 or five for £30 offer going on in store. Wee Little Puppet Man , was also talking about HMV this week. He told us the Jurassic Park trilogy is on DVD for £8 , on Blu-ray for £10 or £10 in-store if you fancy the steel case booklet. HMV is also selling all the Bond films in-store for £3 , although Puppet Man wasn’t impressed with the covers.
