Scott Glenn is back for Daredevil Season 2

Fans of grizzled badassery can rejoice, as Netflix confirms that Scott Glenn will be returning for Daredevil season 2 as Matt Murdock’s mentor, Stick.

If you remember, he’s the guy who taught Murdock everything he knows, but abandoned him as a child in order to teach him an important life lesson. All the kid did was make him a paper friendship bracelet! That’s some tough love right there…

Said bracelet is front and centre of Netflix’s announcement that The Bourne Legacy actor is returning to the show, having become something of a symbol for Murdock's broken childhood.

Just how Stick will be reintroduced remains to be seen, given that last time he and Murdock were in the same room together they got into it. We’d imagine it will have something to do with the scarred individual he was spotted talking to at the end of his last episode in season 1, but which side will he be on?

The show’s second season began filming back in July, with the core trio of Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson all reprising their roles, alongside Rosario Dawson and Vincent D’Onofrio. Jon Bernthal and Elodie Yung are set to join the fray this time around as The Punisher and Elektra respectively, with the second series scheduled to land on Netflix at some point in 2016.
