There's a department store in Veilstone City with lots of great stuff. TMs, Vitamins, lots of different curatives... the problem is, they're all incredibly pricey. How do you go about making the extra bucks you need to afford a nutrient shopping spree? You head back to the Routes and make use of your VS Seeker, that's how.

The VS Seeker will be given to you after you meet the professor's assistant again on route 207. What this device allows you to do is find pokemon trainers you've already beaten who want a rematch. When you use the VS Seeker, some trainers on-screen may display a "!!" mark over their heads. This means they will challenge you again if you talk to them. (You need to use this item to get them to challenge you, though.) They'll have the same pokes at the same levels they had before when you first fought them.
Finding and fighting battles using the VS Seeker has two distinct advantages to battling wild pokes. Not only do trainer pokemon tend to yield more EXP than their wild counterparts, but every time you beat a trainer, you'll win cash. If you locate a rich yuppie trainer who you can challenge over and over again, you can make a whole lotta dough in very little time. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that you need to take 100 steps before you can use the VS Seeker again after you've activated it. Be prepared to do a bit of running in circles after bouts if you plan on fighting many trainer rematches.
