Secrets of the Pokemasters
Raising Pokemon can be hard work, but we've got some advice to help you conquer Sinnoh in no time
Buried treasure
Once you've got the Explorer Kit, a whole new world opens up to you: The Sinnoh Underground. By using the kit in certain areas, you'll be able to enter a huge mine system that spans the entire continent. At first the Underground doesn't seem like much beyond a mildly amusing diversion - you can make a little secret base, buy items to decorate with, and set traps to annoy any friends who might be spelunking with you.
But what the Sinnoh underground really has to offer is treasure and lots of it. By using the map and touch screen, you can locate many places where you will be able to mine for valuables.
Most of what you'll find when mining are gemstones that don't have much value beyond being used to buy traps and decorations. However, there's some really cool stuff to be found for the devoted digger. Among these buried goods are evolution stones, plates to boost a poke's attack power, and even fossils of pokemon long thought extinct. Check out our movie below to see just how mining works, and some of the fantastic goodies you can discover.
Best of all, you never have to worry about over-mining. Every time you head down under, there are new places to dig and new items to find. Getting your hands dirty has its benefits.
