Sega Rally to hit PSP
Brand new version for Sony's handheld
A new Sega Rally game is being developed specifically for the PSP and will be released this September to coincide with the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions. The game will be simply called “Sega Rally,” like its home-console siblings. And, as if the announcement wasn't enough to get arcade driving fans hot under the brake pads, it's been revealedthat it willfeature online play and Wi-Fi multiplayer link-up too.
Development duties have gone to Bugbear Entertainment, who are also makingFlatOut: Ultimate Carnage for the Xbox 360. But Sega Racing Studio is keeping a close eye on the game's progress to make sure it lives up to the Sega Rally name. Programming for the PSP has startedfrom scratch, so it will be interesting to see which of the new versionsfeels closest to the classic 1995 original.
