Seth MacFarlane asked to return to host 2014 Oscars?
Producers reportedly ready to give him another shot
After a divisive performance hosting the 2013 Oscars, in which many commentators were left cold by his all-singing, all-boob-referencing performance, Seth MacFarlane may get another bite of the cherry in 2014.
According to sources close to the comedian, the Family Guy supremo will be offered the chance to take another shot at hosting, as reported by Just Jared .
“After defending his performance, the producers reached out to Seth and invited him back to host the show again,” claims the source. “He’s not sure if he’s going to do it, but he has to decide within the next couple of weeks.”
We do know that Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the producers who hired MacFarlane in the first place, have recently been confirmed to be returning, so it makes sense that they might back their man for another go-around.
As for MacFarlane himself, he has previously tweeted that there was 'no way' he'd take the gig again, but should the opportunity actually arise, it'll be interesting to see if he can be convinced…
